For new users, click on the "New Wallet" option to begin the registration process.
Option 1: Continue with Google
Users can continue the registration process by directly signing in with Google, which designates the chosen Gmail account as the main Security Email for their Kontos account. Following this, they can proceed to set their Kontos account name.
During registration, the user can choose a username. Once the system confirms the availability of the username, the process advances to the next step. At this stage, the Security Email can be edited to include additional Gmail accounts if desired.
Subsequently, the user can set a recovery threshold, specifying the number of Gmail accounts required for account recovery. For example, if an account is associated with three Gmail accounts and the threshold is set to two, the participation of any two of these Gmail accounts will be necessary to successfully restore the account.
After configuring the Gmail settings, users can proceed to the next step and confirm the creation of their account by clicking on "Confirm Creation." Following confirmation, users have the option to add an inviter. This step is optional and can be skipped if preferred. Once this step is completed, the account creation process is finalized.
Option 2: Register Now
When the user opts for the "Register Now" option, they will be directed to set their Kontos account name immediately. Upon completing this step, the user will move to the Security Settings section. Here, the user can choose to set Gmail accounts as the secure emails, allowing for account recovery through emails. Alternatively, the user may set up other Kontos accounts as guardians, with account recovery then being facilitated through the guardians. This setup provides flexibility in how security and recovery processes are managed.
